Chapter 1 – That Fateful Day
2019
“Finally! That orphanage took a lot of time, right Ava?” says Emma, one of our protagonists.
“I know! We were supposed to be released at the age of 18! But 21? That is too much! Even if we’re orphans!” says Ava.
“Totally!”
“So, where are you going now? I guess you have some money, right?”
“Of course, silly! I guess I’ll just explore for now.”
“Oh, ok. I’ll miss you Emma! Bye!”
“I’ll miss you too Ava! Bye!”
They both hug and part ways.
*In Emma’s head* “Oh… Where should I go now?”
“MOVE OUT OF THE WAY MA’AM!!!!!!!!” says a screaming voice. Emma turns around to see a zooming car coming her way. Just in time, she runs off into an alley.
“OH MY GOD!!! WHAT WAS THAT?!?!?! I ALMOST GOT KILLED!!!!” shouts Emma.
Emma walks into the alley, hoping to find a way out. While walking, she sees a very small ball of light. Suddenly, her ears are deafened and her eyes are blinded when the ball of light bursts into an explosion.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!” screams Emma.
Then, a man appears in front of her. He’s dressed in an old fashioned way.
“W-what happened?” says the man.
“I’m going to ask you that!!! What the hell just happened?!?!” shouts Emma.
“How would I know?!?!?!”
“Cause you were the one who magically appeared through a ball of light!!!!!”
“WHAT?!?!?!”
“UM, YEAH!”
“I-I don’t know what happened…”
“Ugh, we’ll need an explanation for this.”
They go to a cafe.
“A cappuccino please.” says Emma to the waitress.
“Would you like a cappuccino too?” says Emma to the man.
“Um, what’s a cappuccino?” says the man.
“It’s ok. What would you like?”
“Some tea please.”
“Ok ma’am and sir.” says the waitress and leaves.
While waiting for their order, “So what’s your name?” says Emma.
“James.” says James.
“Huh. Old fashioned name.”
Emma sees that everyone around them is whispering and looking at them.
“Hmmm… We’ll have to do something about your clothes.” says Emma.
“What is it about my clothes? Yours are very odd.”
“Ugh, you know what, let’s just go to the clothing store after this.”
“Um, ok…”
